Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both revenue accounting and general ledger accounting, with the ability to manage month-end close activities and support financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Location: East Bay-Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting schedules
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Manage revenue recognition and revenue accounting processes in accordance with GAAP
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances
• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting
• Support external and internal audit requests
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Partner with cross-functional departments to improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy
• Assist with special projects, system implementations, and process improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong background in general ledger accounting and month-end close
• Experience with revenue accounting and revenue recognition principles
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA designation is not required, but is a strong plus
• Public accounting experience is a plus
• Experience in manufacturing, technology, or multi-entity environments is preferred

Compensation:

• $45.00 - $60.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
